The short grass plains provide perfect conditions for calving, and the spectacle of thousands of newborns taking their first steps is truly remarkable.

Everything you need to know before your safari adventure

Most travellers visiting Tanzania must obtain a valid visa prior to entry. This can be done online through the Tanzania e-Visa portal or upon arrival at select airports and land borders.

Visa-on-arrival is available for many nationalities, but applying online is strongly recommended for faster processing.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and have two blank pages.

Travellers coming from or transiting through Yellow Fever risk countries must show proof of vaccination upon arrival.

Always check your local Tanzanian embassy or immigration website for the most up-to-date entry regulations specific to your nationality.
